Proconsi Foundation Presents Espacio Yvium

A meeting point for all those people who are committed to quality and the value of culture and heritage, as well as the application of technology and its sustainable use in all those initiatives that allow to value the local in a different, attractive and global way.

With the help of the Proconsi Foundation, El Cafelito, a mythical café in the city of León, inaugurated in 1998, is now also a meeting place for the world of technology, entrepreneurship and culture: Espacio Yvium. It combines a classic café format with a meeting point for the development of technological and cultural activities based on the good use of technology, musical performances, readings, presentations, investment rounds, seminars, etc.

Yvium is a project promoted by the Proconsi Foundation, open to any fan of technology, entrepreneurship, reading, music, …, with a program open to the participation of anyone interested in showing their creations or projects, to the general public, investors, etc.. A space for reflection, meetings, gatherings and knowledge, with technology as a starting point.

In the words of the President of the Proconsi Foundation, Tomás Castro: “We wanted to promote this initiative from the Proconsi Foundation, with the aim of giving visibility and mentoring new talents in any discipline that energizes and enriches the cultural scene of León and the region. We intend the Yvium Space to be a meeting point for all those people who are committed to quality and the value of culture and heritage, as well as the application of technology and its sustainable use in all those initiatives that allow to value the local in a different, attractive and global way”.

During the presentation event, numerous artists, investors, writers and entrepreneurs collaborated, among them: the writer Miguel Ángel Recio, the investor Pedro Piñán, the CEO of Qubit Bigas Luna Xavier Martorell, the digital artist Bernardo Rivavelarde, the artist Sebastián Román and the entrepreneur Alejandro Bernabé, who expressed their congratulations for the project and presented some of the many initiatives that will be developed in the coming months at Espacio Yvium. The event was also attended by the Vice Councilor for Cultural Action and Commissioner for the Spanish Language, Mar Sancho, and the Mayor of León, José Antonio Díez, who expressed their congratulations for the initiative.

In addition, as part of Espacio Yvium, the Yvium Club is launched, a club of friends of culture and technology who, by paying an annual fee of 50 euros, are committed to culture and heritage, and are guaranteed priority access to activities, exclusive enjoyment of disruptive technologies, such as virtual reality glasses, robotics solutions, etc., and can make use of the space for two hours a year for initiatives aligned with the objectives of Espacio Yvium.
